Ashley
Nardone

I often catch myself in the act of collecting bits of nature, holding scraps of earth and turning them over in my hands. I brighten seeing light spill across a surface, or stop to watch the wind tickle the trees and make its leaves dance. Making art is an extension of this curiosity.

The sculptural works I create explore organic forms and integrate nature’s materials. Each piece is guided by observation and precision, seeking out abstractions which can be made solid.

I invite you slow your eyes down and see the things around you differently.

Ashley is an installation artist creating work for commercial and public art spaces. Possessing multi-disciplinary skills, Ashley brings enhancing talents to her installation pieces through sculpting, music theory, video and photography.

Ashley enjoys finding inspiration through nature, organic forms and cultural immersion. Her interest to explore and understand these realms often takes her on journeys both mental and transportational. As a child, Ashley often imagined herself as and explorer on the cusp of discovering something new. This craving has fueled a life-long love for travel, making observations, and taking on challenges. Ashley seeks to infuse revelations from this passion into her artwork.

Early in life, Ashley gained an appetite for self-learning thanks to a homeschooled education. Understanding the empowerment of finding and applying knowledge from a young age continues to motivate Ashley in her art practice today. Ashley studied art at Florida Atlantic University, graduating with a BFA in Photography and a BFA in Graphic Design. She established her art career in Southeast Florida before moving her home and arts practice to the upstate of South Carolina.
